George Eliot once said “One must be poor to know the luxury of giving.”
The heroes have all come from backgrounds where they had nothing.... nothing to provide for themselves or their loved ones.
Their lives were transformed when they came to the center, they had things they had never had before: a bed, clothes, 3 meals a day.
But perhaps the most amazing part? Once they were given these things, their first inclination was to give.
The New Hope heroes have led the charge to bring food and water to the Turkana people. Many from this tribe are impoverished and are greatly blessed by these resources.
As the children give these resources, they also share their faith. They want the Turkana people to know where their hope comes from and who has transformed them.
The heroes have taken what they have been given and use that to help others. It’s truly amazing to see children lead this charge. Their compassion for others who are in need and how they give of themselves is truly remarkable. They are grateful to be able to give.
Thank you for empowering them to do this!
