Attached please find the pictures of the New hope Heroes on a missionary journey back to the streets of Lodwar to share the gospel of hope and their very lives to their former fellow street Children.
I am pleased to inform you that on 21th August 2012, I took the New Hope Heroes to the streets of Lodwar to do face to face evangelism to their former friends.
The main aim of this operation was to share the gospel of Christ to the street kids, give testimonies on what God has done to the former street children, share our life experiences and share the love of God with a pinneaple drink. The strategic point 1 was behind Salama Hotel where hotel leftovers are put in a plastic tank for them to celebrate on as daily bread.
In the first strategic point, Ramsey Ekai was the master of ceremony and the leader of the meeting. This is where he used to stay 3 years ago. He took the mantle by introducing the other new Hope heroes before welcoming Nicodemus Emus to minister to them. I thank God that the children were receptive to the gospel and some accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. They promised to come to Soweto church for
service. Some also promised to get back to school if provided with school supplies.
In the second strategic point, Francis Lokol was the leader of the meeting and Paul Kuya was the minister of the Gospel. Paul spoke from the bottom of his heart and this made the other street boys to feel the pinch. He explained the role of God in transforming his life from desperation to life of hope, from street to school, from eating dirty food to eating well cooked meals and from a pagan to a christian. I was exciting to see the New Hope Heroes getting into the level of spiritual maturity and having God's command in their lives to make others to feel it.
We also shared our love with them by giving them pineapple drinks to quench their thirst and promised to visit them termly for the sake of planting seeds of hope to this young generation. Many were thrilled to
get back to school. It was so amazing to see the New Hope Heroes recognizing the goodness of God's word and the work of New Hope/Share International in making them get into a different generation in life both physically and spiritually.
The mission to the streets of Lodwar was accomplished, we were able to minister to 27 street children in two strategic points. Glory to God for that opportunity.
