Young Turkana girls are often married off, without choice, around the age of twelve to fourteen. New Hope is starting an initiative to work with some of these girls by purchasing bracelets they'll design and make for us - as a means to use their skills and give them an income and choice to be independent. We pay the girls a fair wage for their bracelets and use the profits from sales of to fund New Hope Children. It's a win-win sustainable model we're implementing and testing out this coming year. See some of our bracelet prototypes below and let us know what you think! Would you buy these for yourself or a friend?
