Swena’s story is the story that usually stops people in their tracks.
At 2 1/2 years old, she was wandering the streets all by herself in search of food. At 2 1/2 years old.
Imagine if this happened in you neighborhood. CPS would be called. Police would be knocking on doors in search of her parents.
With poverty as extreme as it is in Lodwar, there are many children who lose their parents or cannot be provided for. They have nowhere to go but the streets... even a toddler.
However, that is not where her story ends.
Dickson, the Director of the New Hope Children Center in Lodwar, Kenya brought Swena to the Center. Since she was brought in, she has been nuriushed with good food, clean water, given medical attention and is loved by 26 big brothers and sisters on a daily basis. She is in school and falls asleep every night in a safe place, knowing she is loved.
Thank you for all you do to help us support children like Swena. Please take a moment to pray for Swena today- that God would continue to guide her path as she becomes the world changer she is destined to be.
