The Great Commission tells us we are to go into the world to share the amazing story of our Salvation... and that is exactly what Paul wants to do!
His mother died of illness and his father is not in the picture. At a young age, he was forced to live on the streets.
Paul quickly assumed a leader role when he was rescued. He was even elected prefect (School Captain) at his school!
He wants to be a Missionary when he is older. Please join us in prayer for him and all the lives he will bless in turn!
Did you know that some organizations have a match program for their employees? If you donate to an eligible non-profit, some employers will match your donation.
Take a moment to check in with your employer to see if they would be willing to match your donation. And please feel free to contact us if you need anything.
Thank you for your willingness to have this conversation and help us rescue even more kids!
Nico is halway through his internship and he is so excited to bring back all that he has learned to his community in Lodwar, Kenya.
One of the greatest things about this internship is the variety of skills he is learning. He has learned how to make organic soap, how to manage bee frames, plant and grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, how to raise livestock and is hoping to learn how to make cheese soon!
These skills will allow Nico to not only provide a living for himself, but also to teach these valuable skills to the heroes at New Hope Children! Between these skills and the well and greenhouse tents, our food expense will be diminished significantly.
Check out the slideshow above to see him goofing around at the farm, stopping at a special auto shop and some of the flowers grown at the farm!
Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for Nico!
Francis, one of our children, had a hard time believing a promise God told him in the desert several years ago. Francis is one of only a few children of ours who did not come from living in the landfills of Lodwar. He was a young shepherd boy living over two hours away from our New Hope Center when a local missionary found him on the brink of death. Neglected by his guardians, Francis was said to be emaciated, dehydrated and fighting to survive. When the
missionary offered to bring him to New Hope Children, Francis knew his caretakers would say “no” to him leaving his duties there and almost gave up hope. Then suddenly, he heard God’s voice, “go and ask your guardians, I have gone
before you and have put a yes in their mouths.” With trepidation and confusion Francis obeyed and went to their hut to ask. It was a “Yes”!
Francis is one of the most enthusiastic, grateful, hard working students you will ever meet and his story is a beautiful example of God’s fulfilled promises to His children. He is getting excellent grades and excels in football as well!
Melvin's story is one of amazing transformation.
When she was young, her parents died of Tuberculosis. She was forced to live on the streets and couldn't find enough food to eat. By the time she was rescued, she was so emaciated that she couldn't hold down regular food.
But after she received the care she needed, she began to grow... both physically and emotionally. She was very shy and would barely speak when she first arrived to the center. But today, she is the leader of the pack!
Her natural leaderships skills seem to allign perfectly with what she wants to be when she grows up: a nurse.
Thank you for your support of children like Melvin. You are changing lives one child at a time!
